No black mouse pointer due to Windows 95 default.
Cause:
Windows 95 does not include a black mouse pointer by default.
Solution:
Obtain a third-party utility, and select the appropriate cursor once the third-party utility has been installed.
Install the third-party cursor(s) as described in the instructions. Change to a different cursor as follows:
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)
3) Double-click the 'Mouse' icon. (The 'Mouse Properties' dialog box appears.)

4) Click the 'Pointers' tab.
5) Select the action and corresponding pointer from the pointer description list.
6) Click 'Browse...'. (The 'Browse' dialog box appears.)
NOTE 1: Cursors are usually in the C:\Windows directory or a subdirectory of Windows.
NOTE 2: If the cursors are not displayed, open the folder containing the cursors in the C:\Windows directory.
7) Select 'Static cursors (*.cur)' from the 'Files of type' drop-down list box.

NOTE: 'Animated Cursors (*.ani)' may not be available depending on the systems resources specific to your computer. Select 'All Files' to view *.ANI files.
8) Select the desired cursor from the 'Look in' list box. (The cursor name appears in the 'File name' box and the cursor appears in the 'Preview' box.)
9) Click 'Open'.
10) Repeat steps 4) through 9) for every cursor to be changed.
11) Click 'Apply'.
12) Click 'OK'.
13) (Optional) Before exiting the 'Mouse Properties' dialog box, save the new settings as a scheme:
a) Click 'Save As...' from the 'Scheme' group. (The 'Save Scheme' dialog box appears.)
b) Type a name for the scheme in the 'Save this cursor scheme as' box.
